Combing what we’ve already built on Facebook, social commerce enabler OneWay Commerce has expanded to Google+. In addition to having a full featured storefront directly on your Facebook fan page, where your fans can discover, share, and purchase products, now they can also discuss any product on the Google+.

Google created an API for developers to begin to create applications on Google+ less than 48 hours ago and, although the initial tools are quite limited, we’ve worked hard to build them directly into the storefront. With these new features retailers can post pictures, details, and links to their products on Google+ and then use this post as an ongoing discussion stream where people can find the product on Google+, view recommendations, and then click to purchase the product from your online store.

We recognize that this is just the beginning for social commerce on Facebook and Google and that in the coming months there will be many new features and possibilities when it comes to creating an e-commerce system that drives off social interaction across the Web.

To find out more about how easy it is to setup your social commerce store check-out OneWay Commerce. Our pricing plans remain the same with a free mini-store and a $19/month premium store options. Also, connect with me on Google+.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again. E-commerce is dead. Social commerce is alive and prospering. We’re excited to be the first social commerce system with integration into Google+.

E-commerce is undergoing a significant revolution. Gone are the days of simply creating an e-commerce store and expecting people to purchase your products. Today, with virtually the entire world online, people are connecting, interacting, and sharing their lives with their friends and family. This changes e-commerce as we know it. Today, it’s about “social commerce”.

In the social world, selling products works by telling your friends and fans about your offerings and products. The capability exists today to get specific products and offers into the hands of your best customers and have them purchase, refer, and make recommendations to their friends. Your fans telling their friends, who in turn tell their friends, just multiplies the number of people hearing about and getting recommendations on your products. All this happening on the Internet, in real time.

Now you can hear your customer’s voice, find the products they like, and offer it to them easily. It makes sense, but it needs to be easy. With Facebook, Twitter, and other social media, the tools exist to find your fans and initiate the conversation. With OneWay Commerce, you can also put your products directly in the hands of your Facebook and Twitter fans. Making a simple discount or telling them of your latest product can create a firestorm of activity within their circles. Your customers can even purchase without ever leaving Facebook. Imagine, connecting with your fans, giving them offers, and having them share with their friends all directly on Facebook.

E-commerce is dead. Welcome, social commerce.

Microsoft recently completed a case study on our use of Windows/SQL Azure and how we use it to drive our social storefront app. We use Azure to drive the e-commerce system and data integration with Facebook, QuickBooks, PayPal, and Salesforce.com.

The storefronts that run using OneWay Commerce allow you to have a complete e-commerce system directly on Facebook. The backend servers and hosting of this system is really important to us, which is why we chose to work with Microsoft and Windows Azure. It’s definitely a tier-1 system and allows us to provide the maximum up time and performance for your social storefront.
